Google Calendar synchronization is an existing Socializioz integration. It helps you view upcoming Socializioz publishing work in Google Calendar while preserving Socializioz as the source of truth for post schedules and publishing. The dedicated Socializioz calendar is not your primary personal calendar. This integration does not turn a Google Calendar event into a Socializioz post.

Connect Google Calendar

  1. Open your workspace Schedule view.
  2. Find Google Calendar in the calendar’s controls (on desktop, in the calendar management area; on mobile, in the Google Calendar management panel).
  3. Select Connect Google Calendar, choose your Google account, and grant the requested access.
  4. Return to Socializioz and check that the connected Google account is shown.
If you previously connected Google Calendar, you can manage the same connection from these calendar controls rather than starting over.

Enable scheduled-post synchronization

  1. In Schedule → Google Calendar, turn on Sync scheduled posts.
  2. If Google asks for additional calendar-sync permission, approve the request. Existing older connections may require Reconnect Google Calendar once to obtain the required permission.
  3. Socializioz creates or reuses a secondary Google Calendar named Socializioz.
  4. Eligible future scheduled posts are mirrored to that calendar. The app reports how many upcoming posts were synchronized during the initial backfill.
The sync uses Google’s permission to manage a calendar created by Socializioz, rather than asking to rewrite all the calendars in your Google account.

What happens when a post changes?

A successful Calendar update does not publish a post. Publishing remains controlled by the Composer, Publishing Hub, platform permissions, validation, and approval rules.

View Google Calendar events in Schedule

When the connected calendar is ready, the Schedule view can display available Google Calendar events alongside your Socializioz schedule. Use the calendar’s controls to review the linked calendar, or choose Open Google Calendar to view it in Google. If the events appear behind or alongside scheduled posts, remember which system owns them: edit the Socializioz post in Socializioz, not by dragging the mirrored event in Google.

Sync now, reconnect, or disconnect

In the Google Calendar management controls, choose:
  • Sync now to request synchronization of upcoming scheduled posts.
  • Reconnect Google Calendar if authorization expires or extra sync permission is required.
  • Disconnect to disconnect the Google account.
  • Sync scheduled posts: Off to stop mirroring while preserving existing events.
If a sync fails, inspect the connection and its last error, then retry the appropriate action. Existing permissions may need reauthorization. Avoid creating duplicate posts to repair a missing Google event.

Availability and permissions

Google Calendar is an established integration, including in the current Free plan presentation. Your Google account still needs to authorize the connection, and you must have a valid Socializioz user/workspace session. The active plan’s social publishing limits still apply to Socializioz posts; connecting Calendar does not change them.
