# Paid Ads

> Connect and manage advertising accounts in Socializioz: supported Meta, X, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit and OpenAI Ads reporting and creation workflows.

Socializioz **Paid Ads** brings advertising accounts, campaign hierarchies, reporting and supported creation or management actions into your current workspace. Choose the advertising provider first; the controls depend on that provider's integration and the permissions actually granted to the connected account.

This is distinct from **organic social campaigns** in [Campaigns](https://docs.socializioz.com/features/campaigns.md) and from the general [analytics dashboard](https://docs.socializioz.com/features/analytics.md).

## Open Paid Ads

1. Open your Socializioz workspace and select **Paid Ads** (or the **Ads** destination where it appears in your navigation).
2. Choose a provider, then an authorized advertiser/ad account.
3. Select a reporting period. Review the campaign-level overview and, where available, drill into ad groups and individual ads.
4. Use the creation or management actions offered for that provider; actions unavailable for your connection are not automatically supported elsewhere.

A normal connected social profile is **not necessarily an advertiser account**. Your provider may require business/advertiser access, separate Ads authorization, review, or billing setup before the ads data or management functions become available.

## Supported provider experiences

| Provider | Workspace experience | Creation and changes |
| - | - | - |
| **Meta Ads** | Advertising accounts, campaign hierarchy and available spend/performance reporting | **Read-only in this workspace**; ask the Agent for guidance rather than assuming a native Create button |
| **X Ads** | Authorized X Ads accounts and available reporting | **Read-only** in the current Paid Ads workflow; Ads access differs from normal X sign-in |
| **Google Ads** | Account, campaign, ad-group and ad reporting | Provider-capability-driven manual creation and management |
| **TikTok Ads** | Advertiser accounts, hierarchy and reporting | Provider-capability-driven manual creation and management |
| **Pinterest Ads** | Ad-account reporting and campaign objects | Provider-capability-driven manual creation and management |
| **Reddit Ads** | Business/ad-account reporting and campaign objects | Provider-capability-driven manual creation and management |
| **OpenAI Ads** | Dedicated account, campaign, ad-group and ad management, with delivery information | Native connection and creation workflow, plus supported state management |

The provider's current account permissions, capability response, and review/billing status determine which actions work. A provider being listed does not imply that every operation is enabled for every account.

## Connect the right advertising account

* **Meta:** connect an eligible Meta account through **Connections → Social Channels**. Confirm the required ad-account permissions and select the correct advertising account in Paid Ads.
* **X:** authorize X Ads access separately when the interface requests it; your X account must have an accessible X Ads advertiser account and the provider app must have Ads access.
* **Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads and Reddit Ads:** use **Connections → Connectors** to authorize the appropriate advertising service and account. Return to Paid Ads, choose the provider, and select an advertiser account.
* **OpenAI Ads:** select **OpenAI Ads** and provide an **Advertiser API key** created in OpenAI Ads Manager Settings. This is **not** the ordinary OpenAI API key. Socializioz verifies a replacement key before replacing the existing connection.

If a provider reports **No ad accounts**, authorization may have succeeded while your identity has no eligible advertiser account. Create an account with that provider or obtain the necessary access, then reload the account list.

## Understand reporting and account health

Depending on provider and granted reporting access, the Paid Ads workspace can show spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, account status, campaign/ad-group/ad hierarchy and available comparative metrics.

* Choose the **advertiser account** before interpreting campaign totals.
* Change the reporting **period** to compare the right window.
* Use **Campaign**, **Ad group**, and **Ad** levels to inspect the hierarchy where the provider returns that information.
* Missing values or partially returned provider sections remain unavailable; they are **not** estimated as zero.
* A healthy connection does not guarantee that every campaign is delivering. Budget, ad review, account setup, targeting, scheduled dates and the states of child resources also matter.

## Create and manage campaigns

### Google, TikTok, Pinterest and Reddit Ads

For supported connected accounts, choose the available **Create campaign**, **Create ad group**, **Create ad**, or **Manage** action. The provider-driven workflow exposes the fields and actions returned for the selected provider and account.

1. Choose the advertiser account and desired object.
2. Fill in the provider-specific configuration.
3. Save or resume a draft when offered; AI suggestions can assist with supported fields.
4. **Review the final action** before it is executed against the advertising provider.
5. Inspect the returned provider result and campaign status before attempting another write.

Not every provider supports the same objectives, bidding settings, assets, lifecycle controls or account roles. If an action does not appear, check its current capability and account access instead of assuming it works the same as another provider.

### OpenAI Ads

The dedicated OpenAI Ads workflow supports creating a **campaign → ad group → ad**. Its form guides you through objectives, budgets, targeting, bidding and creative information. New resources are created **paused**, so creation alone does not start ad spending. Supported state changes are separate actions.

The OpenAI Ads provider still controls review, spending limits, account readiness and delivery. An approved campaign is not necessarily delivering if a child ad is paused or under review. Confirm the real state before activating or editing another resource.

## Paid Ads versus the Socializioz Agent

You can ask the [Socializioz Agent](https://docs.socializioz.com/features/ai-chat.md) to review connected advertising information, propose improvements and help prepare campaigns. Supported provider changes must still follow the application's confirmation boundary. The Agent is not permission to bypass provider authorization or activate spending without approval.

The product's **Creative Credits** pay for eligible AI media generation; they are **not an advertising budget** and do not pay Meta, Google, OpenAI or other advertising-platform media spend. Ad spend and ad-account billing remain separate.

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to check |
| - | - |
| No ad accounts | You might have connected a user identity with no business/advertiser account; grant access in the provider and retry |
| Reconnect required / missing scope | Reauthorize the specific provider with the requested Ads permissions |
| No reporting or partial results | Check account selection, reporting window, provider permissions and the section's data-health message |
| Create or Manage unavailable | Check that the selected provider supports that action and has returned the necessary capability |
| Campaign created but not delivering | Check its paused state, ad review, budgets, child resources and provider-side account status |
| Result uncertain after executing | Refresh and inspect the provider object before attempting the same write again |
